It's Spring time, and before you know it will be SUMMER! Get started working towards that bikini body and don't look back! Ready, Set...Get Heidi Fit!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Create a Training Plan/Journal-&lt;br /&gt;Plan your workouts ahead of time and also write down what you plan to do BEFORE you go to the gym. Note your weight/reps/sets, so you know how to progress yourself&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Don't just set "weight-loss" goals, set GOALS!&lt;br /&gt;Don't just say "I want to lost x number of pounds." Make goals that will create a routine/active lifestyle. If you are starting from scratch, make a goal to take the stairs every time you go to your office or work out at least x amount of times a week. If you already are active, train for a triathlon or enter a 10k Charity race, etc.. Surrounding yourself with an active group of people will help you get and stay motivated.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Get a measuring tape; take your measurements and weight yourself.&lt;br /&gt;Write those measurements down and keep track of your progress. This will help you stay accountable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Resolve to cut out refined sugar for a week.&lt;br /&gt;Sweet cravings will reduce quicker than you think. Do this consistently and you will find yourself craving sweets less and dissolve a unwanted habit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. Switch from processed to FRESH! Period.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6. Change your workouts once a month, including cardio&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7. Make an appointment&lt;br /&gt;Be accountable to a trainer or a class. Knowing someone/others are counting on you will give you that extra motivation to help keep you on track.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8. Be patient&lt;br /&gt;Don't expect miracles to happen overnight. Focus on being healthy and creating a healthy lifestyle. Most people don't see results for 6-8 weeks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9. Make your workouts FUN!&lt;br /&gt;Incorporate things you always wanted to try or like to do. Boxing, dancing, sports, etc.. If you love it, you won't realize you are working out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;10. Put together a workout playlist.&lt;br /&gt;Great music will keep you motivated and inspire you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;11. Remove all junk food and temptations from you home/workplace.If you don't see it, you won't eat it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;12. Eat on smaller-sized plates.&lt;br /&gt;The larger the plate, the more you will feel the need to fill it up with more food. Which leads to eating more than you really want/need too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;13. It's a challenge because it's not supposed to be easy...so CHALLENGE yourself!&lt;br /&gt;- If 30 minutes is easy., push yourself to 45 min. or add a nutrition challenge along with it.&lt;br /&gt;(drinking at least 4 water bottles a day, no sweets, etc.)&lt;br /&gt;You are only as successful as you wanna be. Find an accountability partner.&lt;br /&gt;- Friends, significant others, co-workers make great accountability partners! Especially the&lt;br /&gt;the ones who are around you when you feel the least motivated!&lt;br /&gt;2. Visual Motivation&lt;br /&gt;- Put a picture or phrase somewhere that you always look at on a daily basis. If you SEE it, it&lt;br /&gt;will motivate you more than just thinking about it. For example; a photo of when you felt&lt;br /&gt;great about yourself or your body.&lt;br /&gt;3. Journal your progress&lt;br /&gt;- This will help you track your progress, and even record what you struggled with. It's an&lt;br /&gt;outlet, so let it out!!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* I started this 21 day challenge 2 years ago when a fitness company came to us with this 21 day challenge concept. I LOVED IT! I saw how it inspired not only me, but my team! It kept me accountable, and that is why I loved it! I had to learn to stay disciplined on my own. I spend so much time making sure my clients and teammates are on track, that sometimes I forget to focus on myself. I've seen this challenge ignite a fire inside people! It becomes not only a "21 day" challenge, but molds into a lifestyle change. That's what I LOVE about it. But 1 thing. Whether their goals are fitness goals, nutritional goals, personal or professional; it makes me happy to see people achieve something in their life. Smalll or big. Accomplishing a goal, means checking it off and now you can make another goal. It means you are getting better. You are GROWING! I've come to realize that checking off those small goals, and accomplishing those small successes help you reach those larger, long term goals! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;It helps you move FORWARD! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Moving forward isn't easy sometimes. There are aspects, situations, mind sets, issues, things, even people that hold us back from moving forward. "Things" or "People" that won't allow us to reach our goals. But is it really those "things" or those "people?" Is it "US" that won't allow the movement forward? &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;I recently re-read a post from someone who I admire and is one of the most encouraging people out there in the fitness industry. He is not only successful as a trainer and motivational coach, but as a person. It seems like I come across his posts when I need to hear it that day, or someone I know could use that advice. Micah Lacerte is someone who I can call a friend, but also someone who inspires ME! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;His post below made me think of why some of us can't move forward in our lives, and reach those goals we soo want to achieve! Let's not take this weather for granted. It's not too hot and not quite the bitter days of Winter yet. So, GET OUTSIDE! Why not get FIT at the same time? Regardless if it is for a quick run around the plaza, joining my kickball team to have some much needed adult recreational fun, cheering on my favorite NFL team on Sundays, or going to the driving range to hit some golf balls. I've found running outdoors to be my escape. Especially when the scenery is calm, quiet, and even better, when it's beautiful! Throw on the running shoes, plug in the ipod, and just GO! It's just me and my path.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I went on a run the other day, and decided to take pictures of my path. It was just me and this serene and beautiful path. The scenery helped take my mind off the normal "stresses" of life or the physical aspect of running! I love to find different paths and/or routes, and just go! I begin to forget that I'm exercising and time flies by. I like to mix in lunges, step-ups, push-ups, mountain climbers, and even better, plyometrics! It's my outdoor gym. Instead of steps or gym benches, I use the park benches or concrete for step-ups, jump ups, and incline push-ups. If there is a park, the monkey bars subsitute for a challenging pull-up machine. It's fun to get creative with your surroundings. At the end of my workout or run, it's peaceful to stretch and look at the area around me. You can even schedule a time to go with a friend for a walk, run, or even a hike. It's definetely not too late, or chilly, to get a group of people to play basketball, soccer, or throw the football around. Time to stop pushing it "'til tommorow."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt;Time to stop making excuses. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;Time to stop putting yourself, your body, YOU....last!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;Time to make time for YOU. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;Time to work on YOUR body. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;You only get ONE body. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt;It's time to get fit, and treat the only body you have RIGHT!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;The 21 day challenge.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Rules:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;1. For &lt;strong&gt;21 consecutive days,&lt;/strong&gt; you commit yourself to &lt;strong&gt;at least 30 minutes &lt;/strong&gt;of physical activity.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;2. You wear a visual reminder on your wrist (Get Heidi Fit band, sm.bracelet, rubber band, etc)&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;3. 21 consecutive days means 21 consecutive days. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;- No off days, no 2 a days to make up for a missed day, etc...&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;4. If you miss a day, you start over and switch the band to the other wrist. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;- If you miss a day, you start back at Day 1. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;- Goal is to not take the band off or switch wrists until AFTER the 21 day challenge&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;5. 30 minutes means high intensity activity/exercise. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;-Activity or exercise(s) that raise your heart rate above the resting or normal rate&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;6. It's a challenge because it's not supposed to be easy...so CHALLENGE yourself!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;- If 30 minutes is easy., push yourself to 45 min. or add a nutrition challenge along with it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;(drinking at least 4 water bottles a day, no sweets, etc.)&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;You are only as successful as you wanna be. You have to stay focused and keep your eye on the prize. In this case..it's YOU and YOUR body! So...are you up for the challenge? &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Tips:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;1. Find an accountability partner.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;- Friends, significant others, co-workers make great accountability partners! Especially the &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;the ones who are around you when you feel the least motivated! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;2. Visual Motivation&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;- Put a picture or phrase somewhere that you always look at on a daily basis. If you SEE it, it &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;will motivate you more than just thinking about it. For example; a photo of when you felt &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;great about yourself or your body. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;3. Journal your progress &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;- This will help you track your progress, and even record what you struggled with. It's an &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;outlet, so let it out!!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;em&gt;* I started this 21 day challenge 2 years ago when a fitness company came to us with this 21 day challenge concept. I LOVED IT! I saw how it inspired not only me, but my team! It kept me accountable, and that is why I loved it! I had to learn to stay disciplined on my own. I spend so much time making sure my clients and teammates are on track, that sometimes I forget to focus on myself. I've seen this challenge ignite a fire inside people! It becomes not only a "21 day" challenge, but molds into a lifestyle change. That's what I LOVE about it. But 1 thing.
